Project Information
Ammonia Plant:
The design of the ammonia plant in Phase II is based on the reduced energy ammonia process licensed by M. W. Kellogg Ltd. The plant is designed to produce 1200 t/d of ammonia and 1494 t/d of carbon dioxide using natural gas feedstock. In normal operation, the main part of the ammonia product is sent as warm liquid at about 37°C to the urea unit and the remainder is sent as cold liquid at –35°C to storage. The plant is also capable of delivering 1200 t/d of ammonia product as cold liquid to storage.
Routine turndown to 60% of the rated capacity is provided for in the design. The plant will operate at 40% throughput for limited periods (less than 7 days) without special design provisions but may require additional operator attention.
Urea Plant:
A single line Urea plant to produce 2000 MTPD of Urea granules over a single line granulation unit using STAMICARBON granulation technology as finishing section.
Process for urea plant of the fertilizer project of Kermanshah-II is based on the Stamicarbon’s technologies. Urea plant is made of two plant sections melt plant and granulation plant. For melt plant, pool reactor technology has been selected and for granulation plant urea film spray nozzle technology has been selected.
