Project Information
Ilmenite is a combined oxide of Titanium-Iron mineral with chemical formula FeTiO3.It is the most important source for production of Titanium or Titanium Oxide which the later was intended product in Kahnooj project.
Contract for installation of ilmenite concentrator plant was on EPCC basis between Consortium by Leadership of Namvaran, with IMIDRO for producing 130,000 TPY ilmenite concentrate plus 113,000 TPY Titanomagnetite as by-product.
Performing process technological tests on mine representative samples and developing process flowsheet was in contract scope. For this purpose, services of Australian Mineral Technology Company as consortium technological partner were utilized.
Process sections of production plant comprises of Grinding & Classification + Separation, Regrinding & Classification + secondary Separation ,Drying + High Tension Roll Electrostatic Separation and Tailing Dewatering by Hydro cyclone / Screen & Thickener + Filter press .
